Summary
Despite their growth over the past two years, Cardinal Innovations Healthcare Solutions (CIHS) had virtually no IT processes to support their rapidly increasing infrastructure. CIHS engaged JCMR Technology to design, implement, and document streamlined automated processes that would allow CIHS to manage company demand and improve response times while controlling IT staff growth.

Because the CIHS IT department had only a few undocumented, manual IT processes in place, they were unable to respond to environment changes or support department and employee needs. Without immediate process improvements, the IT Department’s extreme response times would result in a poor satisfaction rating from the CIHS departments who rely on IT services to meet customer demands as well as the loss of consumer confidence. CIHS required assistance from an experienced and trusted advisor who could guide them through the process of standardizing the approach to IT needs.

Process Automation & Documentation; Standardized Approach to IT Needs
JCMR Technology assisted CIHS by determining where new processes should be implemented and which existing processes could be retained and streamlined. Documenting, vetting, and publishing these processes allowed JCMR Technology and the CIHS IT team to clearly identify points of interaction with other departments and the service areas that needed improvement. Standardizing and automating the processes also resulted in better management of staff time and training needs.
After CIHS approved the processes, Joe Gay from JCMR Technology helped train CIHS team on the newly instituted procedures. Joe was also able to educate the staff on the importance of standardizing, automating, and documenting processes and how these improvements benefited the CIHS employees, the IT Department, and, in turn, the company.
